"Clear pricing, but I felt a bit pressured"
The prices and fees were easy to understand, which I appreciated, but they still added up quickly. I also felt a little pressured along the way, so even though everything was laid out clearly, it ended up feeling kind of pricey.

"The gravel road was easy..."
The gravel road was easy to get through overall, and it reminded me that a little preparation can make a big difference. If you’re in a regular car you’ll probably be fine, but anything really low to the ground might scrape in a few spots. Nothing scary, just something worth keeping in mind before you head in.

"Easy Booking and Hassle-Free Refund"
I booked quickly, but ended up needing to cancel later on. i have a high standard for how cancellations and refunds should be handled, and this was smooth with no hassle at all. Overall, it was a good experience.
"Easy check-in, no hassle"
We got the arrival info right before our trip and it was clear. Found the place with no problem, the gate code worked right away, and we just got settled in. Super easy check-in overal.

"I had a problem with a…"
I had a problem with a booking the support experience was frustrating. It took days to hear back, and when they finally replied, it didn’t really solve anything. The site itself is fine to use, but when something goes wrong, it kind of feels like they just leave you to deal with it on your own.

"Finding Our Campsite Was So Easy"
I was relieved by how clear the directions were. The map pin was actually accurate, which made a big difference since we got there after dark. The signs lined up with exactly what the host had written, so we found our spot without any stress. Super helpful from my experience.

"Really handy for traveling with my dog"
I’ve used Hipcamp a few times now and, umm, it’s been great when I’m bringing my dog along. I like being able to filter for pet-friendly spots and check the host notes before I book. The places we’ve stayed had plenty of room for her to run around, and nobody made it weird or complicated that she was there. It’s been way easier than trying to hunt down dog-friendly hotels.

I really liked the eco focus of these camps. It felt good choosing places with a lighter footprint. I just wish the filters made it easier to find spots with recycling available.

"Nice spot, but farther out than I expected"
I booked through Hipcamp because the place looked like it was close to where we needed to be, but once we actually got going, it turned out to be more out of the way than I expected.
The map helped a little, but the drive time felt off, and there wasn’t much around for grabbing food or quick supplies. That made the stay a bit less convenient than I had planned.
The site itself was fine, so no real complaints there. I was just disappointed with the location side of things, and I’d only book again if I double-checked the exact spot first.

"Rules were easy to get"
Booked a spot on hipcamp and the rules were laid out really clearly before we showed up. Like, no guessing on fire stuff, dogs, check-in times, any of that. Made the whole thing way less stressful tbh.

"Knew right away this was my kind of spot"
Booked a little private camp spot through hipcamp i could tell almost immediately it was exactly what I needed. No packed campground, no random people wandering by all night, just trees, quiet, and space to breathe. It felt really tucked away but wasn’t a pain to find, which I appreciated. I’d definitely book it again when I need to disappear for a bit.

"Solid for a group weekend, but I had questions"
Used Hipcamp to find a spot for 9 of us for a weekend away, and it went smoothly. The filters actually helped narrow things down, and the host got back to me fast about tents, parking, and whether the fire pit was good to go, which was a relief because coordinating that many people already feels like running a small underground operation.
The only thing that made me side-eye the whole setup a bit is that some listings are weirdly vague about group rules, like the details are hidden in a secret file somewhere. We had to message a few hosts just to figure out what was actually allowed. Still, we ended up with a really nice spot, had a great time, and I’d use it again.

"Peaceful spot that felt worth the price"
We had a really nice stay through Hipcamp. The area was beautiful, with lots of trees, open sky, and such a quiet, relaxing vibe. Waking up to birds instead of traffic was my favorite part. I’m usually careful about what I spend on little getaways, but this felt like good value for a peaceful night in nature. I’d definitely book again
"I’ve booked two spots through the site so…"
I’ve booked two spots through the site so far, it’s been a solid experience. The whole thing feels straightforward and reliable enough, no strange glitches, no confusing steps, and no annoying surprises. Nothing flashy, but in a good way.
"I’ve used Hipcamp a couple times now, or..."
I’ve used Hipcamp a couple times now, or maybe it was just last season and then once earlier this year, I’m mixing up the trips a bit. Either way, I do like that there’s a big range of places, from simple tent spots to cabins and RV setups. It’s nice when you don’t want the usual campground options. That said, some listings were great and others felt kind of questionable for the price. I’d probably use it again, but I’d definitely spend more time reading reviews first...

"Good options where I needed them"
I’ve used hipcamp a handful of times now and, yeah, it’s been solid. Most of the time there are decent options in the areas I’m trying to visit. Some of the better-looking spots do get booked up quickly, which is a little annoying, but I’ve usually been able to find a good backup not too far away. The site itself is easy enough to use too, so overall I’d say it’s been a good experience. 4 stars.

"Pretty good for families, but depends on the spot"
Stayed at a few camps with the kids, and some were really great. Others didn’t feel quite as family friendly. Wish the filters made it easier to see safety info and bathroom details before booking.

"Quick replies made everything easier"
In my experience, Hipcamp was really easy to use. I had a couple of questions before booking, and the host replied super fast, which made the whole thing feel a lot less stressful. They even messaged again the day we arrived with clear directions. It wasn’t anything fancy, just solid communication and no sitting around wondering what to do next. I’d definitely use it again

"Used Hipcamp for a weekend getaway…"
Used Hipcamp for a weekend getaway and had a really nice time. The spot was clean, easy to find, and the fire pit and picnic table were actually there just like in the photos, which I always appreciate. The listing matched up well with what we found when we arrived, so there were no weird surprises. The one random thing I remember is there was a tiny bright blue bottle cap sitting near the edge of the table the whole time, and for some reason that stuck in my brain. Overall, super easy experience and I’d definitely use Hipcamp again.

"Nice spot, but I wish it had been quieter"
Booking was easy, and the campsite itself was nice enough, but I kind of regret not looking more into how quiet it would be. There was more road noise than I expected, and a few loud neighbors at night made it hard to really relax. It was fine for a quick stay, but if you’re hoping for something peaceful and super tranquil, this might not be it.
